Singapore Grand Prix is not merely about the racing. Being the only country in..

Singapore Grand Prix is not merely about the racing. Being the only country in South East Asia to host the race with its bling-bling and city lights definitely makes you need to do more than just going to Grand Prix while you are in Singapore. If these are not in your Singapore GrandPrix, then they should be!

1. Enjoy The God’s View of Singapore

Have a drink, watch the race and enjoy unparalleled views of Singapore at one of the many high-level bars located around the track. Hot favourites include 1-Altitude, Ce La Vi, New Asia Bar and ME@OUE.

2. Live Life in The Fast Lane, In A-Lister’s Style

Thinking to hit the club like those A-Listers? Open up your Singapore Guide! You might have a chance to meet up with some of the international jet setter, supermodels, or who knows you’ll be dancing the night out with the international celebrities! The are tons of events and parties that will be moving around and about the F1 race itself. Don’t restrict yourself to the circuit ’cause there tons more out there to suit every style.

3. Take Outside The Track

Chances are the malls and other tourist attractions will be filled with visitors before the race weekend, so how about a light trek to the summit of Bukit Timah Hill? The hill stands about 163 meters above sea level—so nothing too strenuous—but it is the highest natural point of the city-state. Think of this as a warm-up lap of sightseeing before all the rubbernecking you’re going to do at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

4. Fuel Up Before The Race

It’s the calm before the storm, and park gates will only open around 2pm to 3pm, so why not chill in Tiong Bahru first? It’s a haven for independent stores, coffee shops, book stores. Buy a book from BooksActually, take home a trinket from one of the small galleries, or grab a cup of coffee in one of the hole in the wall coffee shops. If you’re looking for the most hipster place in Singapore, this is it.

FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL (フジロックフェスティバル) is Japan’s biggest and the most famous outdoor music festival held at..

FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL (フジロックフェスティバル) is Japan’s biggest and the most famous outdoor music festival held at the popular ski resort, Naeba City, Niigata Prefecture. The 3-day music event features numbers of the world’s greatest artists live performances surrounded by forests.

FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL takes place for 3 days on weekend in late July or early August every year, and around two hundreds of artists perform on the live concert. The lineup for FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL are big, for example the headliners in past few years include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sigur Rós and Beck in 2016, Gorillaz, Aphex Twin and Bjork in 2017, and Bob Dylan, Kendrick Lamar and N.E.R.D in 2018In 2019, the festival is estimated to be held on the last weekends of July (26th, 27th and 28th). Confirmed acts include The Chemical Brothers, The Cure, SIA, Thom Yorke, Martin Garrix, James Blake, Takkyu Ishino, etc, and more great artists to be announced in future! (updated in April 2019)

Fuji Rock’s lineup typically boasts top international and domestic artists, with hundreds of thousands of fans gathering at the Naeba Ski Resort for the three-day event, which will be held from July 26-28 this year. Last year, Kendrick Lamar, N.E.R.D and Post Malone on the bill hinted that the festival was moving away from its guitar-heavy roots for the headliners while relying much more on domestic acts for the smaller stages. Still, the raging typhoon proved that wet weather is one constant we can rely on.

So when this year’s first-round lineup was announced on Feb. 7, musical fans from around the world tuned in.

Headlining acts for the festival include pop sensation Sia, post-punk legend The Cure, and rock icon Thom Yorke. This first-round announcement reveals only a few of over 200 artists who will perform at Fuji Rock, with others announced in several phases over the months leading up to the festival.

The hype is real

There has been a lot of hype around the artists announced for this year’s festival, including for James Blake’s newly released album Assume Formand The Chemical Brothers new single “Got To Keep On,” which are sure to be a main focus on the Fuji Rock stage.

The first peek at the initial lineup was on an LED screen at the Shibuya Modi shopping complex, where crowds gathered for the reveal on Feb 8. Concert promotion brand Chord caught the moment on film, with onlookers making ecstatic Japanese exclamations like, “Yabai!” and, “Yossha!” upon hearing their favorite artists’ names. Sia, James Blake, and Thom Yorke seemed to garner the loudest reactions.

Lucas Nathan, an American songwriter and producer has been producing electronic music since 2009. His first project was called Zonotope and a noise music project Diane Kensington Devotional band. Now, his most notable alias Jerry Paper was made in 2012.

With his style in music and his eccentric onstage performance, he has gained much attention over the past couple of years. Raising notoriety with his constant flow of work and many collaborators. Jerry Paper also has toured alongside Mac Demarco, Badbadnotgood, and Mild High Club in the past years. He also collaborated with Tyler The Creator for The Grinch Soundtrack which was released in November 2018.

Jerry Paper’s latest release, Like a Baby (co-produced by Jerry (aka Lucas Nathan) and Matty Tavares of BadBadNotGood) is his first album for Stones Throw. Like a Baby got itself some guest backing vocals and instrumentation from Weyes Blood, Charlotte Day Wilson, and Mild High Club’s Alex Brettin. The songs in the album are funky, easy going, with Lucas’s vocals which can make us listeners swoon.

Nathan sings on the track, “I’m here dressed up like a cartoon/asking please please burn your cocoon”. And he adds, “On stage and in recordings I embody an exaggerated version of my ‘self,’ pushing it to a limit where I transcend my ego, in an effort to get the audience to shed their ideas of themselves, shed their egos, and be free. Jerry Paper is me at my freest, an ego sacrifice in an attempt to get people to do the same.”

Now, collaborating with the aforementioned label, Stones Throw and noisewhore are working together to bring Jerry Paper to Jakarta for the first time ever. The collaborative effort was announced a week ago and has been teased beforehand. This run of tour in Asia only features a few dates, making this Indonesian show all the more special.

Having said that, Jerry Paper is ready to perform their first ever live performance in Jakarta, Indonesia. The band will perform in Rossi Musik Fatmawati. The show will be held on June 19 2019.

Asked about the prospect of organizing a show for Jerry Paper along with Stones Throw, Argia of noisewhore said:

“It certainly is something special. We’ve been focusing on bringing smaller acts and innovate through our curation of artists. Bringing the legendary label Stones Throw and Jerry Paper for our second show of the year surely means everything to us. It’s a sign that we’re working the way we want it to be and will continue to do so for the rest of the year. We are surely excited of what’s to come for this show and beyond.”

Tickets are currently available at a normal price at 350k. Tickets also can be bought through noisewhore (noisewhore.com/shows/) The poster for the show is also attached in this email

Saksikan Pure Saturday with Suar Nasution ”After All These Years” hanya di Love Festival Vol. 3.

Vol.3 – Love is Live.

The announcement of LaLaLa Festival 2019 has been the talk in town recently since its surprise announcement in the early October. The biggest international forest music festival of Indonesia is set to be held on 23 February 2019 in Orchid Forest Cikole, Lembang. The much-anticipated event is broadcasted to be even bigger and better this time.

LaLaLa Festival has always had its own charming way with music enthusiasts all over the country. This year, with star-studded list of performers that is confirmed in the phase one announcement: Years and Years, Crush, Joe Hertz, Jeremy Passion, and Astronomyy, the excitement is just so real. As if it’s not enough, we are made in awe with its second lineup announcement that bring world class performers, both Honne and The Internet home.

Honne, an electronic music duo formed in 2014 in Bow, London has always been fans’ favorite, with melodic yet lyrical hits such as Day One and Warm on a Cold Night. Meanwhile on the more psych leaning sound, The Internet, which was formed earlier back in 2011, has crowned themself as established Grammy nominated performers following 2015 record Ego Death.

The event will also bring us performances from Pomo (Canada), Alex TBH (Malaysia), and Gentle Bones (Singapore), all set to be there next February to celebrate the night altogether with endless list of national performers, such as Sheila On 7, Fourtwnty, Ardhito Pramono and many more to be added.

As some of the performers are going to perform for the first time in Southeast Asia and Indonesia, devoted fans from all over the countries have secured their tickets first thing first. The diverse layers of performers is set to blur lines between musical genres with feel good electronic groove, R&B and hip-hop Korean superstar, and ambience fillers all in one discovery night of wonder and culture.

With this big excitement in hand and large crowd to deal with, PR and Media Relations Manager of THE Group, Ferally Mahardhika shares his thought for the upcoming event. “We are curating wish-list from the fans one by one to strive for the escalated music experience this year. We are the biggest international music festival in Indonesia, and we are working really hard to deliver more than just the mere expectation of it. Within the natural beauty of Orchid Forest we all know, and all the surprise activities we are providing, we hope that everyone can have a great time like never before.”

The emotion is still so fresh and raw on our mind, but we are all set again to the newest adventure brought altogether next year by The Group at LaLaLa Festival 2019. Set to be held on 23 February 2019, the annual international forest music festival drops the real bomb with its first lineup announcement, that includes London’s Years & Years and South Korean soulful R&B singer, Crush .

The Group, as one of the most well known, strong music promoter that started their journey in Bandung has grown so much during the course of year. With upscale experiences of bringing power house international names such as Oh Wonder and Kodaline, The Group has aggressively secured those that been on the wish list on repeats. As if we can only expect even more excitement in the future.

Going forward to a bigger scale of festivity, LaLaLa Festival 2019 offers one stop celebration of music with more experiences and even bigger performers. Staying true to their calling, LaLaLa Festival 2019 will be held once again in Orchird Forest, Bandung, famed for its striking woodland and beautiful gazes.

Eka Pramudita, Project Manager of LaLaLa Festival 2019 shares some of the beans with much excitement. “There is something special about music and nature that keep us, that fuse within the self deep, craving for some more. An enchantment, our muse of sorts to. LaLaLa Festival and the nature calling is one conjunction that can’t stand by its own.”

To the statement, he further added, “We are staying and changing at the same time. It became bigger than what we thought it’d be. 2018 was massive; we knew it was not yet perfect, but we got to meet so many people along the way that shared the same spirit, and that’s just awesome. The event is always about fusing inward to discover outward, to explore music as it is, and we always love it that way. Yet, this year it’s gonna be bigger. I can’t tell you further without spilling too much about all the grand surprises we have, but I promise it’s worth the wait.”

With Years and Years and Crush on board, we can only expect even more surprises to be later added on. This will mark the first time in Indonesia for both the famous British synth-pop band and Korean R&B star. While Years & Years have already hit the top of Billboard’s album chart with their biggest hit single “King”, Crush has his own English album soon to be released after swiping up Korea & Asia.

Their performances, altogether with stars such as Jeremy Passion, Astronomyy, and Joe Hertz are definitely something to look forward to. Not to mention, Sheila On 7, Fourtwnty, and Ardhito Pramono will also be joining the stage as our most favorite local acts. The Phase 1 of the whole Lineup has just been announced, there will be more international and national artists will be joining the lineup for LaLaLa Festival 2019.

Even without the first lineup announced, devoted fans have shown their utmost excitement. Early bird tickets have been sold out less than an hour since its opening. All the regular & VIP passes, fortunately, will be sold start from 26th October 2018 at 6pm on LaLaLa Festival’s official site (www.lalalafest.com) start from 350K for the presale ticket. For more information and updates, do follow LaLaLa Festival’s social media @lalala.fest!
