Dyandra Entertainment seem on their highest performance this year! After announcing that they’ll be promoting Blur, The Temper Trap and Tegan & Sara (and still one more name to be announced), the promoter released a news that The Kooks, Delphic, and Radio Dept. will be sharing a stage for a pre-event of Big Sound Festival 2013. The official announcement was tweeted on the promoter’s official twitter account, @DyandraEnt, on February 21st 2013.

Big Sound Festival seems going to be one of the most anticipated music festivals in South-East Asia, since the show will be headlined by Blur, the legendary band from England. Furthermore, the excitement for the festival which will be held on May 15th 2013 is going to be heated up first on April 24th 2013 by The Kooks, Delphic, and Radio Dept.

The Kooks are an English rock band formed in 2004. They have released three albums, Inside In/Inside Out (2006), Konk (2008), and Junk of The Heart (2012). The Kooks stealed the attention from the media once their first album exploded. The band consist of Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris, Peter Denton, and Paul Garred.

Delphic are definitely a familiar name if You’re a fan of shoegazing and electronic rock music. Their name started rocketing when they did their national tv debut on “Later … With Jools Holland” in 2009. In January 2013, They just released their second album titled “Collections“.

The Radio Dept are totally not from England, the band were named after a gas-station-turned-radio-repair-shop called “Radioavdelningen” (Swedish for The Radio Department). Their first album, “Lesser Matters“, was ranked no.9 for NME’s list of the best 50 albums in 2004.

Dyandra Entertainment and Sound Rhythm have been calling this All-in-one event as the Road to Big Sound Fest, and the event will be held at Tennis Indoor Senayan. If You are an avid fan of those names above, the ticket can be purchased via online on February 27th 2013.

A huge surprise was dropped by Dyandra Entertainment on February 15th 2013! If you didn’t get around much on twitter, this would be a surprise announcement for you, but if you keep sneaking on Dyandra Entertainment’s twitter account (@DyandraEnt) and also Sound Rhythm (@SoundRhythm) for the last two weeks, they kept giving a hint about a huge festival in town that will feature the mighty band from England. And finally, after a mass buzzing on twitter about the validity of the gossip, On February 15th 2013, Dyandra Entertainment officially announced that Blur and Tegan&Sara will be one of the line-ups for Big Sound Fest 2013! The festival itself will be held on May 15th 2013 at Lapangan D Senayan, Jakarta. This news definitely spreaded rapidly on twitter and other news portal.

And today (February 19th), the promoter revealed another name to the current line-ups, The Temper Trap!

Blur are an English band which were formed in London in 1988. the group consists of (singer/keyboardist) Damon Albarn, (guitarist/singer) Graham Coxon, (bassist) Alex James and (drummer) Dave Rowntree. In 2008, Blur dediced to do a reunion for a concert at a London Hyde Park on July 3rd 2009. And, the latest Blur’s achievement was in Brit Awards 2012, the band were awarded for Outstanding Contribution to Music. In 2013, Blur are scheduled to headline Coachella Festival 2013.

Tegan and Sara are a Canadian indie-rock duo. Tegan and Sara are identical twin sisters. In 2013, Tegan and Sara nominated in Grammy Awards for “Best Long Form Music Video”.

The Temper Trap are an Australia-based indie rock band, The Temper debut their first Indonesia’s show in 2010. Last year, the Temper Trap got nominated for three nominations on  Aria Music Awards, and they scored two of them!

 

If you are a huge fan of Blur, this is a thing that definitely you don’t need another think coming about whether you should go or not to Big Sound Fest (FYI, this is the very first Blur’s appearance in Indonesia!). And,sure, Tegan and Sara and The Temper Trap are a kickass performer!. The presale tickets will be on sale on February 21st 2013 in a very limited number, so, game on! (Alcander Alonzo)
