This could be one of the best “last supper” videos for a music fan, Vampire Weekend’s new video for ‘Diane Young’ would get nominated or even score an award if there was a ‘Music Video With Bunch of Cameos Award’. The song which is taken from the band’s latest album, ‘Modern Vampires of the City’, feature well-known names like Santigold, Sky Ferreira, Dave1 of Chromeo and more. The video shows a group of people having a feast at a long dinner table and leads to a bizarre dinner party with a food fight, a saxophone bong, and confetti.The music video is directed by Primo Kahn.

After performing two new songs “Diane Young” and “Ya Hey” from their new forthcoming album, Modern Vampires at SXSW, Vampire Weekend finally released their official “Diane Young” music video which apperently was only about burning car with a background of New York skyline and “Step” which basically a lyrics video with New York city daily life as the background. They must’ve been very proud of their Yankee roots, huh?

Well, anyway based on their official web, the album itself will be out May 7 in the U.S. and May 6 in the U.K. via XL Recordings. Through this song, we can clearly hear that they are trying to expand their range of music with more of jazz and soul vibe, but off course without deleting their own charachteristic.
