As you all know, we always like to let people to do whatever they want to do (why? because we are not their Mother). Anyway, Have you ever wondered why people love to tweet or share continuously on social medias while they are seeing some live shows? We’ve been wondering too, but then we realized that we do that a lot (because we are doing some live-tweet on our Twitter since we are a media). How about some regular crowd who always tweet while they are at concerts? Some people say they should stop doing it and get their eyes more on the show instead of their phone screen. However, in this article we will give you six reasons of why it’s okay to update social media at concerts.

1. Your followers need to know you are there

Yes, your followers need to know that you are currently having a good time by seeing your favourite band (or not so favourite)’s live show. And they seriously have to know that you’re not at home, killing your time by doing something that is not cool.

2. Your friends who can’t be at the show count on your live report

Not everyone can go to a music concert. So, for those of you who can make it, let’s be a generous person and share your experience to those who can’t come by doing some live reviews on your social media! Make sure you update what song that the band is currently performing and when the band has finished the set, you have to let people on your timeline to know that the show has ended. Isn’t it great to let people know what you’re eyes currently seeing?

3. You need to have at least one good moment on your social media account

Maybe, most of the things that you posted on Twitter, Facebook, or Path has been something that is not even fun. Such as, “I’m studying now.” or “I just got home and gonna git the hay soon!”. Now, let’s put some sugar and spark on your timeline by adding “I’m at this band’s concert now! So fu**ing awesome. Rocks!”. People will think your life less boring. Hooray!

4. It’s the best time to harvest ‘Likes’ and ‘Loves’

For some people, having their posts to be liked on social media is a big deal. So, one of the best times to get the attention and get those little pale blue thumbs on Facebook is by posting your concert moments! (And it’s very important for Path users, the point of this social media is to do some humble brag to their circular friends. Hello ‘loves’!). We know how good it is when you see notifications saying “xxxx liked your post”. High five?

5.You actually don’t listen to the bands and social media is the best way to act nonchalant

Do you really think the 1000 audiences listen to the band who perform? Nope. Some of them don’t. They probably get free tickets (or their relatives are the organizer so they are invited) and when they are there, they totally have no idea what the band’s music is all about. Therefore, scroll to the little icons of your favourite social media platform, and voila, you look busy now.

And the last reason why it’s okay to update media at concerts….

6. It’s your social media account, and no one has a legit right to bother what you are posting on it

They may say you don’t enjoy the show. But, who cares about what they are saying. You are allowed to post as many or as often as you want. If you are comfortable to update your social media while you are at some concert, do it. We know sometimes people have to pour their overexcited feelings on social media and we find there’s nothing wrong with that.
