Watch Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ New Music Video For Mosquito
Yeah Yeah Yeahs finally released their second video, Mosquito, which is also the title of their fourth album. The video is showing the whole idea of mosquito, and yes, a mosquito takes the whole bite. The clip features a close-up shot of a mosquito sucking a hand of a boy (who is shown on small box of a picture on the right side of the frame), and it’s all about the mosquito’s feasting time. The brilliant part is when the bridge part starts hitting the chorus, the mosquito’s abdomen is getting stockier (if you look closely, it shows the band’s performing the song) and radiating the colours of rainbow. And the end of the video snapped by a boy slapping the mosquito to a sprawl of blood. Well, Yeah Yeah Yeahs always know how to put some implicit messages into their bizarre yet brilliant video.
The video is directed by a Korean film maker, Shimbe Shim.
