Local Vocal (No.8) : Aurette and The Polska Seeking Carnival

Imagine you’re in a carnival somewhere in France, eating cotton candy while wandering around the twinkling lights of a merry-go round and the giant ferriswheel. Teadatu (vocal, accordeon), Aurel (ukulele), Aris (drum), Bayu (trombone), Danny (bass), Rian (percussion), and Mursid (trumpet) come together as Aurette and The Polska Seeking Carnival, and they made the imagination feels even more alive.

Pop Folk Polka is what they said when being asked about their genre. The accordion somehow makes them sounds very European, along with  its playful horn sections and percussions, they made exciting tunes to listen to. Peeking into their soundcloud, there were 5 tracks available: from the lovely humming and intense accordion in Seeking Carnival to the instrumental steady rock Vespaphoria, plus a cover of Beirut-Postcards From Italy as tribute to that influential muse of theirs.

Aurette and The Polska Seeking Carnival self titled EP has just launched around March 2013 and sold out in four months. However, they decided to keep their music out in the open market of free download to reach out to more listener.  Yeay! Sway your way to soundcloud.
