G’day Mate! : The Jungle Giants
Prasvana, with the support of The Australian Embassy Jakarta, is delighted to present G’day Mate! A gathering for Australian alumni and friends to be held on Wednesday 22 April 2015, Empirica, Lot 8 SCBD Hall A, Jakarta.
Australian indie-rock band, The Jungle Giants, will be headlining the event and making their debut performance in Jakarta before heading to Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines for Wanderland Festival. Get ready to be charmed by their dynamic energy and infectious sound, complete with catchy hooks and honest lyrics on relationships. Since their first performance in February 2011, The Jungle Giants have released two EPs upon an ever- increasing fan base, undertaken countless national tours (including a series of plum supports, festival spots and their own sell-out club shows), and have capped off their first two years with recording sessions for their first full-length release.
The result is The Jungle Giant’s debut album ‘Learn To Exist’. A concept in itself, ‘Learn To Exist’ is for the most-part an auto-biographical collection of songs penned by The Jungle Giants’ front man Sam Hales. The album marks the end of a busy beginning for Sam, Cesira, Andrew &Keelan; and the beginning of a long-lasting, exuberant adventure for The Jungle Giants.
Supporting The Jungle Giants are a couple of the most exciting emerging talents from Indonesia’s local music scene.

This event is open to the public and will provide an opportunity for Indonesians who are alumni from Australian educational institutions and their friends to network in an informal setting, as well as to promote Australian and Indonesian talent through music performances and collaborations.
