Your favourite English singer-songwriter, Elena Jane Goulding or known as Ellie Goulding will be headlining Ismaya Live’s upcoming summer festival “We The Fest 2014”. Before heading to the festival, we have compiled some fun facts about her.

1. Ellie is a country girl, born and raised in Herefordshire.

2. Before learning how to play guitar at the age of 14, she began playing clarinet at 9.

3. She discovered her love for electronic music back when she was a student at University of Kent.

4. She loves history. In an interview with US Weekly, she said that she has a deep fascination for the history related to World War I and World War II.

5. Did you know that she sang for Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton at the royal couple’s wedding?

6. “Under The Sheets”, her first single was recorded in her producer’s university bedroom and it racked up to 100,000 hit in the first three months. Pretty good, right?

7. Nike supported her album as a running soundtrack, she also finished a 5K run with 200 people in Sydney.

9. Ellie really love sports. She used to do tae kwon do, capoeira, and occasional surfing. She said if she had the time, she would practice to be a personal trainer.

10. She’s able to use her right and left hand equally well. This phenomenon is mostly known as ambidextrous.
