Burning Condors: The Burning Blues Sound from London
When it comes to Great Britain, the hottest thing to discuss right now is The Royal Baby , but we aren’t talking about the royal stuff, we are talking bout music so let’s meet this four guys from London, Burning Condors. Jimmy Bourne, Christopher J Church, Matthew Edun, and Marcus ‘ Tommy’ Thompson started making some punk-blues noise when Tommy left his roots of Bradford and moved south to the capital to find acting work, and then he met the rest of the band members. After hitting the London’s scene they were invited by Legendary Shack Shakers’ double bassist and producer Mark Robertson to Nashville to record their debut, Round Our Way, which will be release in September 2013.
The band just released their new single last week (15/7) Dirty Girl Blues and it’s very interesting. With their sexy-old schooly sound and strong charm you can instantly fall in love with them. The thing about Burning Condors is even though they’re from London but they sound very American, maybe it’s because Matt is a huge fan of US roots music. Tom Robinson of BBC6 said on his blog, he described the bands sound as “a grab you by the ears and not let you go track…dirty and dirty in a good way.” And that is true.
