A Night Of Surprises With Feist

Who would’ve guess, despite all bands that came to Indonesia since early 2012, this Canadian singer Feist’s show can be full of crowd and surprises.

Show that held at SCBD Jakarta last Wednesday (15/02) started around 8.00pm when Erlend Oye (Kings Of Covenience, The Whitest Boy Alive) walk to the stage with his guitar and told the crowd how he loved Indonesia, and his bestfriend Leslie had asked him to play along. So that night Erlend playing as Feist opening act, brought 5 songs such as The Smith’ s covered ‘Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now’, The Carpenters’s covered of ‘Close To You, two Norwegian songs and closed with Cayman Island from KOC.

After 45 minuets of waiting, Feist finally appear and sang mostly from her latest alum, Metals such as ‘How Come You Never Go There’, ‘Graveyard’, ‘A Commotion’ and also different arrangement of ‘Mushaboom’ and ‘When I Was Young’. The most interesting moment of the show probably was when the corwd star to sang along on ‘So Sorry ‘ and’ I Feel It All ‘ songs, and not to mention when one of the fans gave Feist a scarf as her 36th birthday present and spontenously everyone started to sang ‘Selamat Ulang Tahun’.

Another surprises also came when Erlend Oye back to the stage and did duet with Feist for ‘The Build Up’ and dance with ‘Let It Die’. The same as on Laneway, the show also starting her three backing vocals and ethnic instrument and interesting live members of . And since it was long 100 minuets shows but waited for Feist since 2006 was quite paid off that night.
