Friendly Fires Live in Asia
After their tour for Future Music Festival in Australia, be ready all alternative disco funk lover, prepare your dancing shoes as Friendly Fires will be bringing their live set to Asia, and its only going to be at Singapore and Jakarta next weekend, March 16-17th 2012
The group from St Albans, England, exploded on to the scene in 2008 with the release of their self-titled debut album. Stand out singles ‘Jump In The Pool’ and ‘Paris’ set the tone for a new wave of British music that smashed on to the world stage, inspiring generations of music lovers. Picking up a fistful of nominations (from the Brits to NME Awards to the Mercury Music Prize) with everyone from indie kids to clubbers to the fashion elite (the band were handpicked by Gucci for a recent worldwide campaign with acclaimed director Frank Miller) jumping on board the Friendly Fires party boat of dance-tastic alternative anthems. Their second LP ‘Pala’ was released in May 2011 cementing their place in the higher echelons of UK acts. The album reached top ten status in the UK and the band have since gone on to play their largest tours to date. Invited to every major music festival and renown venue there is, the band is famed for their spectacular live shows – a show that has seen them in massively high demand since they began and has only grown to reach ever-greater heights.
